Muse

Muse has been forced to cancel European shows in Oslo, Stockholm and Malmo because frontman Matt Bellamy has broken two bones in his foot. The band's website says they have "made the difficult decision to cancel these gigs as they feel that they will not be able to do justice to their live show and the fans who have bought tickets with Matt performing on crutches. Muse would like to apologise to all their fans who have tickets to these shows. Refunds will be available from the point of purchase." So far, the remaining dates on the tour are still scheduled to go ahead as planned. Muse has European dates booked through December 19 in France and their North American tour is set to kick off on January 21 in San Diego.

The Who has joined the lineup for The Grammy Nominations Concert Live event, which will air December 5 on CBS. The show already includes performances by Maroon 5, fun., Ne-Yo and Luke Bryan, and it will be co-hosted by LL Cool J and Taylor Swift. Along with the performances, nominees in several categories for the Grammy Awards will be announced on the show. The 55th Grammys will air on February 10, 2013.

Headphone sales apparently equal big money, as Dr. Dre has topped Forbes' list of the 25 highest-paid musicians in 2012. Dre has an extensive back catalog of music, but his Beats by Dre headphones helped him gross $100 million in pre-tax earnings, according to Forbes. Pink Floyd bassist and singer Roger Waters came in at #2 with earnings of $88 million, and Elton John hit #3 with $80 million. U2 landed at #4 this year with combined earnings of $78 million, and British boy band Take That, who reformed in 2005, rounded out the top five with $69 million. That haul was earned from the band's eight-date stand at London's Wembley Stadium, which became the highest-grossing single stadium tour to date.

One Direction is set to launch their first-ever fragrance in the fall of 2013. The band has partnered with fragrance company Olivann Beauty to create the perfume as well as "ancillary products," Women's Wear Daily reports. The name of the perfume will be revealed in early 2013 before it hits department stores. Meanwhile, 1D is set to begin their massive 2013 world tour in February in Europe before hitting the U.S. in June.

After putting out a solo album and doing some one-man shows, guitarist Lindsey Buckingham is ready to turn his focus to working with Fleetwood Mac. The band is expected to announce 2013 tour dates soon, which will likely begin in April. "I'm looking forward to it," Buckingham told Billboard.com. "I get to go out there and try these other things on my own, and the more that defines me as an individual and the more it tends to differ from the Fleetwood Mac experience, then the more I'm able to just let the group thing go where it's gonna go." Buckingham added that he, drummer Mick Fleetwood and bassist John McVie convened earlier this year in his home studio to do some recording, which he's recently shown to singer Stevie Nicks for her input. "We may be able to organize something -- I wouldn't think a whole album, but possibly something before we hit the road or, if not then, possibly something a little more extensive after the tour, depending on what everybody wants to do," he said. "The material is quite good, but we have to get everybody on the same page with that, and we'll see where it goes."

The soundtrack for Quentin Tarantino's upcoming western Django Unchained has been unveiled. It includes a combination of old and new songs, such as remix of James Brown's classic "The Payback" featuring a verse from Tupac Shakur. The soundtrack also features brand new music from John Legend and Rick Ross, as well as '60s and '70s tracks from the likes of Jim Croce. The Django Unchained soundtrack will hit stores on December 18, and the movie will be in theaters on December 25.

Wilco is bringing back its Solid Sound Music and Arts Festival, which is set for June 21–23 at MASS MoCA in North Adams, MA. Wilco will perform two full sets during the three-day festival, in addition to curating the music portion of the lineup. A full list of performers will be unveiled later.
