Billboard Names Greenwald, Dastur, Romano Among 2012 Women In Music Power Players
Billboard has released its annual Women In Music Power Players List, with Atlantic Records Chairman/COO Julie Greenwald ranked #1. Greenwald was ranked at #1 in 2011 and 2010 as well. Other radio and label honorees of note include Sharon Dastur (Z100/New York PD) at #8, Brenda Romano (President of Promotion for Interscope Geffen A&M Records) at #9 and Livia Tortella (Co-President/COO of Warner Bros. Records) at #10.
Julie Pilat (KYSR & KIIS/L.A. PD) was ranked #13, with Ethiopia Habtemariam (EVP/Head of Urban Music for Universal Music Publishing & SVP of Motown Records) at #19, Alexandria Patsavas (owner of Chop Shop Music) and Andria Vidler (CEO of EMI Music UK) tied at #24, Lisa Worden (KROQ/L.A. APD/MD) is at #30 and Lynn Hazan (GM/CFO of Epic Records) at #35.
Billboard also named Katy Perry as its Woman of the Year and Carly Rae Jepsen as its Rising Star.
