Following Kennedy Center Honors, Letterman To Interview Led Zeppelin Tonight
December 3, 2012

Led Zeppelin
On Sunday night, Led Zeppelin were among the honorees for this year's Kennedy Center Honors. The legendary British rockers were celebrated at the White House alongside David Letterman, Dustin Hoffman, Buddy Guy and ballerina Natalia Makarova for "exemplary lifetime achievement in the performing arts."

Tonight, the surviving members of Zeppelin (Robert Plant, Jimmy Page and John Paul Jones) will sit down together for a rare interview with their fellow honoree Letterman. The interview will air on tonight's edition of the Late Show with David Letterman.

During Sunday night's event, President Barack Obama spoke about each honoree's contributions to the arts, and said of Zeppelin, "We honor Led Zeppelin for making us all feel young, and for showing us that some guys who are not completely youthful can still rock."

Rolling Stone reports that Jack Black spoke at the event about Zeppelin's power, followed by performances from Foo Fighters, Kid Rock and Lenny Kravitz. The evening ended with Jason Bonham (son of late Zep drummer John Bonham) teaming with Heart's Ann and Nancy Wilson and a children's choir for an epic rendition of "Stairway To Heaven."

CBS will air the Kennedy Center Honors ceremony on Wednesday, December 26.
