Fleetwood Mac Maps Out Tour
December 4, 2012

Fleetwood Mac
Fleetwood Mac has revealed plans for their 2013 tour, which will kick off on April 4 in Columbus, OH. The 34-city trek with dates in the U.S. and Canada will finish up on June 12 in Detroit. Next year also marks the 35th anniversary of the release of their classic Rumours album, and to coincide with the tour and anniversary, a new deluxe reissue of Rumours with previously unreleased studio and live tracks will be released in early 2013 via Rhino Records. More details on the set will be announced soon. The current Fleetwood Mac lineup includes Mick Fleetwood, John McVie, Lindsey Buckingham and Stevie Nicks.

"Having started Fleetwood Mac with John McVie in 1967, it has always been so gratifying that despite the various incarnations, the band has survived," said Fleetwood in a statement. "Throughout the years, though, the one thing that has remained constant is our fans. I am looking forward to getting back behind the kit, reconnecting with the fans and sharing the stage with my fellow band members."

In an interview with Reuters, Nicks stressed that fans should not assume this is a "farewell" tour. "It's never going to be a final tour until we drop dead," the 64-year-old singer said. "There's no reason for this to end as long as everyone is in good shape and takes care of themselves."

She added that the band is working out a 22-song set for the tour, including hits such as "Dreams," "Don't Stop" and "Hold Me."

"It's overwhelming in a good way, but it's still overwhelming," Nicks said of the process. "By the third day (of rehearsals) you start to calm down and get into your role. At first, everybody is nervous and not knowing what they'll do."
