Jim Bell exits as Clear Channel VP/Market Manager, reports the Bakersfield Californian.

American General Media names Suzy Rufail Market Manager for its Albuquerque/Santa Fe cluster. Rufail rejoined the company as Director of Sales in January 2012.

Shila exits the morning co-host gig at CHR/Rhythmic WRDW/Philadelphia.

Special Ed departs from mornings at CHR WPOI/Tampa.

At CHR/Rhythmic WJMN/Boston, Pebbles exits as morning co-host.

Scrap Jackson exits the PD post at CHR/Rhythmic WBTT and CHR WZJZ/Ft. Myers. Until a replacement is found, OM Louis Kaplan will oversee programming for the two stations.

Clear Channel launches a new CHR station in Huntsville, KISS FM 106.5. The station is a simulcast of HD-2 WQRV on translator.
 
CHR WWWM/Toledo parts ways with morning man Andrew Zepeda and the the entire morning team.

AC WDOK/Cleveland says goodbye to its longtime morning team Trapper Jack and Jim McIntyre, reports OhioMediaWatch. Co-host Jen Toohey remains in place.

Sammy Suarez joins Hot AC WMXZ/Charleston for PD/afternoon drive duties.

Angie Handa is named PD at Hot AC KBBY/Oxnard-Ventura.

Robert A. Honeycutt (a.k.a. Bob Gordon) is named PD at AC WTFM/Johnson City-Kingsport-Bristol, TN. Gordon most recently was OM/IT Manager for the Cumulus-Tri Cities cluster.

CCM&E-Fresno flips Hot AC KALZ and Sports KRZR to Talk simulcast Power Talk 96.7 FM/1400 AM, The Valley’s next generation of News Talk. Jay Bohannon will handle PD duties.

KOGO-FM/San Diego moves from News/Talk to become The Rhythm Of San Diego, The New 95.7 KISS FM.

Talk WLRS/Louisville flips to New Easy Rock 105.1.

AC KOSY/Salt Lake City makes the switch to Rock as Rock 106.5.

Rob Wagman, formerly APD at CHR WNOW/New York, joins Contemporary Christian KFSH for afternoon drive duties. Wagman will be in place effective January 14.

Courtside Entertainment Group taps Dan Yukelson as its EVP/Chief Financial Officer. Yukelson recently held the same position at Premiere Radio Networks. The company also announces the exit of President Bob Moore.

Brett Greenberg has joined Epitaph Records as National Director of Alternative and Active Radio Promotion.

BMG acquired the Mute Records catalog from UMG (via the EMI spinoffs), subject to regulatory approval from the European Commission. BMG CEO Hartwig Masuch said, "We are delighted to become the new custodians of the Mute Records catalogue, one of the most prized and influential in electronic and alternative music and a testament to the vision and A&R skills of Daniel Miller. BMG looks forward to working with all the artists concerned to give these copyrights the care and attention they deserve."
     BMG also acquired a number of publishing catalogs as part of the EMI spinoffs via UMG, including the Virgin Music Publishing Companies, Famous UK Music Publishing and selected current songwriters from Sony/ATV and EMI Music Publishing. Most notably, this deal included Kurt Cobain's Nirvana catalog and UK boy band Take That.

Gee Roberson, Chairman of Geffen Records, announced that he will transition to create and own Blueprint, a full service record company to be distributed by Interscope Geffen A&M.

Tribune Co. officially emerged from Chapter 11 bankruptcy, and is expected to announce its new board members on Monday (1/7).

FMQB offers condolences to the family and friends of legendary Reno disc jockey Wild Bill Cody who died of an apparent heart attack at his Colorado home on Christmas Day. He was 62.

FMQB offers condolences to the family and friends of Quinn Brady, air talent for Shamrock Communication-Reno’s 105.3 Martini Radio who passed away suddenly, due to heart failure.
