Pandora Teams With Chrysler, Tops 67 Million Users

Chrysler Group has joined the roster of automotive brands to integrate Internet radio service Pandora into its vehicles. There are now more than 85 different car models that include Pandora, with more scheduled to become available throughout 2013. The broadcaster reports that it is now available on more than 1,000 integrations, including automobiles, automotive aftermarket devices and other consumer electronics.
Pandora Chairman/CEO Joe Kennedy stated, "Our partners are instrumental in helping us bring the future of radio to millions of passionate listeners. With more than 1,000 integrations, Pandora has reached a level of ubiquity that allows music fans to tune-in to personalized radio anytime, anywhere."
In related news, Pandora also released its new audience metrics for the month of December 2012. The company says that listener hours for December topped out at 1.39 billion, an increase of 54 percent from 906 million during the same period last year. Active listeners were 67.1 million at the end of December 2012, an increase of 41 percent from 47.6 million during the same time last year.
