USRN Acquires All National Radio Shows From John Garabedian's Radiocraft
January 8, 2013

United Stations Radio Networks, Inc. (USRN) has formally closed a deal to acquire the programming assets of national program supplier Radiocraft, effective immediately. USRN will now oversee the production, distribution and affiliate relations efforts for Radiocraft’s entire lineup of programming.  USRN had been acting as Radiocraft’s marketing partners to the advertising community since March of 2011. The acquisition of Radiocraft’s programming assets was announced jointly by Radiocraft’s Founder and President John Garabedian and USRN’s President/COO Jim Higgins.

Since 1988, the Boston-based Radiocraft has created and produced some of the most popular programs in network radio including John Garabedian’s long-running, signature program, Open House Party. Other programs in the Radiocraft lineup include The Party Playhouse with Jackson Blue, heard weeknights, as well a newer entry into the weekend programming lineup titled Celebrity Top Ten that features a look at the hottest pop culture items of the week, and two additional weekly editions of Open House Party, one geared for Sunday nights and one formatted for Rhythmic CHR stations.

Higgins commented, "At United Stations, we’re all about talent and branding, and John Garabedian has created a fantastic legacy on both of those fronts. As programmers, as a bank of on-air talent and as a program supplier, John and his Radiocraft team have shaped a great lineup of entertainment shows that all have loyal followings, generate great ratings and provide a wonderful environment for advertisers. We’re thrilled that Radiocraft’s holdings are now officially and completely part of the USRN family."

Garabedian added, "Our superb relationship with the United Stations people made this transaction a natural, and with a new long-term contract locking me in, I can't imagine anywhere I'd rather be on Saturday night than hosting Open House Party!"
