John Stewart Named PD For WHBC-AM & FM/Canton

John Stewart

Congratulations to John Stewart, who crosses the street in Canton, OH to join NextMedia Group as PD of both Hot AC WHBC-FM (Mix 94.1) and News/Talk WHBC-AM. Stewart also takes over afternoon drive on Mix 94.1. He was previously PD/on-air at CHR WDJQ/Canton since 2003. Prior to that, Stewart was PD of Star 95.7/Tampa and also launched KBKS/Seattle.

"We are very pleased to add the talent and experience of John to our heritage stations. We look forward to his contributions to our entire operation." stated NextMedia-Canton GM Larry Gawthrop.

Stewart adds, "I'm thrilled to be taking the reigns of this heritage combo and am looking forward to beginning a new chapter in my career without having to relocate! I'm stepping into an extremely good situation that I'm confident we can grow into a dominate force for the Canton/Akron area."
