After a few days of online hype, Justin Timerlake has unleashed his new single, "Suit & Tie," featuring Jay-Z. The track was produced by Timbaland and it has already been released to radio as well as iTunes. The song also is streaming on the new Myspace (of which Timberlake is a part owner) at new.myspace.com.
"Suit & Tie" is the first taste of Timberlake's upcoming album, dubbed The 20/20 Experience, which he will release later this year. In an open letter posted on his website, the singer said he is gearing up for a big 2013.
"Back in June of last year, I quietly started working on what is now, my next journey with that thing I love called MUSIC," Timberlake wrote. "The inspiration for this really came out of the blue and to be honest, I didn't expect anything out of it. I just went into the studio and started playing around with some sounds and songs. It was probably the best time I've had in my career... Just creating with no rules and/or end goal in mind and really enjoying the process. What I came up with is something I couldn't be more excited about! It is full of inspiration that I grew up listening to and some newfound muses that I've discovered along the way. I'm calling it The 20/20 Experience, and it's coming out this year."
His last studio effort, FutureSex/LoveSounds, came out in 2006. To celebrate this long-awaited comeback, Q102/Philadelphia is becoming "Justin 102" today. Listeners can experience Justin 102 through the station's on-air programming, imaging and website. Fans can stream Q102 via iHeartRadio where "Suit & Tie" is playing at the top of every hour.
