Bend Radio Group-Bend, OR welcomes Lola Montgomery for morning host duties on AC KMGX and MD at Country KSJJ.

At Modern Rock CIMX/Windsor-Detroit, part-timer Kim Scott is promoted to middays, while Phil Kukawinski is named Programming Assistant.

At Cumulus Media's New London, CT cluster, Julie Johnson is named PD of Classic Rock WMOS, joining from sister Hot AC WELJ. Meanwhile, Nick Giuliano is named PD for CHR WQGN (Q105).

Classic Rock WGKC/Champaign makes the switch to Country.

Former CBS Radio-West Palm Beach OM John O'Connell is named PD of CBS Sports WHFS-AM & FM/Tampa.

Veteran Boston radio personality Melissa joins New Hot 96.9 FM/Boston for on-air duties. Melissa most recently served as a producer and personality on the JAM'N 94.5/Boston morning show with Ramiro Torres.

Six off-air employees of Hubbard Broadcasting-Chicago have been let go due to cutbacks: Director of Information Systems Wayne Braithwaite, Production Director John Bermudez, Graphic Designer DeAnna Cortese, Digital Media Project Manager Laura Doede, Social Media Coordinator Liz Micheletti and Promotions Director Sandy Patyk.

SiriusXM 50's On 50 adds Ken Merson for weeknights. Merson will start in early February.

Mark Poston, EMI Australia Chairman and SVP Marketing, is stepping down from his position.

CBS Corp. announced Wednesday that it will spin off its outdoor advertising division as its own Real Estate Investment Trust (REIT), while selling off its outdoor holdings outright in Europe and Asia. According to the Los Angeles Times, CBS' outdoor business generates around $1.8 billion in annual revenue. The REIT conversion likely will not be completed until some time in 2014. In a statement, CBS CEO Leslie Moonves said, "We believe the moves we are announcing today will unlock the tremendous value of these unique quality assets. We have studied the benefits of converting our Americas operations into a REIT, and we are increasingly enthusiastic that this transaction — as well as the sale of our business in Europe and Asia — will achieve significant value for our shareholders."

Triton Digital has introduced a2x, which the company touts as "the industry’s first audience-based programmatic buying solution for online and mobile streaming audio ads." a2x enables advertisers to programmatically buy targeted online and mobile audio inventory in real-time. In addition, a2x facilitates the execution of digital advertising trades between third parties, providing an information database featuring lists of advertising bid and offer values.

iBiquity Digital Corp. announced after the North American International Auto Show the addition of two more automakers and more vehicles that will offer HD Radio Technology. Jeep and Infiniti announced they would introduce HD Radio Technology for the first time and Chevrolet, Kia and Lexus all announced new vehicles including HD Radio Technology at the Detroit Show. Chevy's all-new 2014 C7 Corvette Stingray will offer HD Radio Technology, as well the 2014 Kia Cadenza and 2014 Lexus IS. The Jeep Grand Cherokee will be the first Jeep vehicle to offer HD Radio Technology, while the all-new Q50 will be the first Infiniti vehicle to launch HD Radio Technology as a standard feature.
