CBS Corp. announced Wednesday that it will spin off its outdoor advertising division as its own Real Estate Investment Trust (REIT), while selling off its outdoor holdings outright in Europe and Asia. According to the Los Angeles Times, CBS' outdoor business generates around $1.8 billion in annual revenue. The REIT conversion likely will not be completed until some time in 2014. In a statement, CBS CEO Leslie Moonves said, "We believe the moves we are announcing today will unlock the tremendous value of these unique quality assets. We have studied the benefits of converting our Americas operations into a REIT, and we are increasingly enthusiastic that this transaction — as well as the sale of our business in Europe and Asia — will achieve significant value for our shareholders."

iBiquity Digital Corp. announced after the North American International Auto Show the addition of two more automakers and more vehicles that will offer HD Radio Technology. Jeep and Infiniti announced they would introduce HD Radio Technology for the first time and Chevrolet, Kia and Lexus all announced new vehicles including HD Radio Technology at the Detroit Show. Chevy's all-new 2014 C7 Corvette Stingray will offer HD Radio Technology, as well the 2014 Kia Cadenza and 2014 Lexus IS. The Jeep Grand Cherokee will be the first Jeep vehicle to offer HD Radio Technology, while the all-new Q50 will be the first Infiniti vehicle to launch HD Radio Technology as a standard feature.
