Speaking at the Noble Financial conference in New York City on Wednesday, Cumulus Media CFO J.P. Hannan essentially denied the rumor that Cumulus was looking to acquire CBS Radio. According to reports, Hannan told conference-goers that Cumulus is not planning to "be a huge buyer of assets" over the next two years or so. As previously reported, the New York Post floated the rumor on Monday that CBS was considering selling its radio unit and that Cumulus was interested. However, a CBS spokesperson also shot down the rumor in the same Post article.
