Blur, Chili Peppers, Phoenix Top 2013 Coachella Lineup
January 25, 2013

Red Hot Chili Peppers
The annual Coachella Valley Music and Arts festival unveiled its complete lineup late Thursday night, with a mix of expected acts, reunited bands and surprise performers. As previously announced, Coachella 2013 will repeat last year's schedule, where the same lineup will perform two weekends in a row: April 12-14 and again April 19-21. Day one is headlined by a pair of '90s Brit-rock greats who have reunited in recent years: Blur and The Stone Roses. It will be both bands' first performances Stateside since their respective reunions a few years ago.

Day one also features the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Modest Mouse, the legendary Lou Reed, a reunion of rappers Jurassic 5, Nick Cave's Grinderman project, Tegan and Sara and Passion Pit. Coachella day one also will feature the live debut of Trent Reznor's How To Destroy Angels, with Of Monsters & Men, Metric, Band Of Horses, Divine Fits, Japandroids and Smiths guitarist Johnny Marr all on the lineup as well.

French indie rockers Phoenix, who will release their new album Bankrupt! later this year, have ascended to headline day two of Coachella, with the reunion of The Postal Service taking place that night as well. The xx, Sigur Ros, New Order, Hot Chip, Grizzly Bear, Moby, Punk greats Descendents, Franz Ferdinand, The Violent Femmes, Maynard James Keenan's side project Puscifer and Two Door Cinema Club are all part of the lineup for day two.

Alt-rock kingpins Red Hot Chili Peppers headline the third day of Coachella this year, closing out the entire festival. Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, Vampire Weekend, Social Distortion, The Wu-Tang Clan, The Lumineers, The Gaslight Anthem, Dinosaur Jr. and many, many more acts make up the last day of the event.

Passes to Coachella go on sale this coming Tuesday, January 29 and are expected to sell out. Last year, both weekends of the festival sold out in less than two hours.
