With the FCC conducting its quadrennial review of broadcast ownership rules, the National Association of Black Owned Broadcasters (NABOB) has been urging the Commission to refrain from further relaxing any of its ownership rules. NABOB has sent letters to the Commissioners and filed formal comments with the FCC, reportedly saying that "If large radio group owners are now allowed to combine their multiple station ownership advantage with ownership of a daily newspaper, the group owner will be able to combine the radio and newspaper sales forces, and will be able to offer advertisers a combined radio-newspaper buy, which will leave minority owners even more disadvantaged in their efforts to compete in the marketplace."

Media research firm Coleman Insights names Katie Dombrowski as the company’s Communications Manager.  Dombrowski returns to Coleman Insights after leaving 18 months ago to serve as a key staff member for a North Carolina Lieutenant Governor candidate during campaign season. "We are very excited to have Katie back on the Coleman team," said Coleman Insights President/COO Warren Kurtzman. "As Communications Manager, Katie will focus on all external communications and marketing for the company.  Her expertise in social media and public relations will play a vital role in communicating the insights we deliver to our clients and the industries we serve under our Coleman Insights, Music Forecasting and knowDigital brands."
