Ke$ha

Ke$ha is teaming with MTV to give fans a look inside her musical and personal life with a new documentary series called Ke$ha: My Crazy Beautiful Life. The series is set to premiere on MTV this April, and it follows the singer as she navigates the drama and madness of both her personal and professional life, traveling the globe and recording her Warrior album. It was shot over the course of two years and was directed by Ke$ha's brother, Lagan Sebert, and family friend, Steven Greenstreet. "You might have heard my voice on the radio, seen me onstage or in a music video, but that's only a part of the story," Ke$ha told MTV News. "With this documentary series I'm revealing a more complete picture of what my life is really like. It's not all glamorous but it's all real."

Country singer Gary Allan notches his first #1 album on the sales chart this week as Set You Free, his ninth studio set, debuts atop the list with 106,000 sold, according to Nielsen SoundScan. The Lumineers also reached a new chart high this week, as the trio's self-titled album jumps five slots to #2 with 50,000 sold. The soundtrack to Pitch Perfect holds at #3 with 44,000. The only other new debut in the Top 10 this week is the 2013 Grammy Nominees compilation, which bows at #4 with 41,000, and Kidz Bop 23 falls three to #5 by shifting 40,000 units.

The Strokes have titled their new album Comedown Machine, and it has a U.S. release date of March 26. The first official single is called "All The Time" and the band will have it ready on February 19 when it will be available as an instant download for anyone that pre-orders Comedown Machine via iTunes or the Strokes' online store. In an e-mail to fans, the band also promised that radio stations will have the track by Valentine's Day. The band is currently offering a free download of the song "One Way Trigger" at their website, www.thestrokes.com.

Alicia Keys has been named the Global Creative Director for Blackberry. Research In Motion (RIM) made the announcement as part of its launch of the Blackberry 10 this morning. Keys appeared at the event and and according to an announcement, will work "with app developers, content creators, retailers, carriers and entertainers." President/CEO Thorsten Heins stated, "We are excited she will be bringing to us her enormous capabilities, as well as a vast network of relationships in the entertainment, social media and business communities, to help shape our brand and grow our business."

will.i.am still doesn't have an exact release date for his solo album, #willpower, but he told MTV News that the "record will be out before the Easter Bunny comes hoppin'." Meanwhile, his single featuring Britney Spears, "Scream & Shout," is doing quite well on the charts, so will is in no hurry to rush the album. "'Scream & Shout' is #1 in, like, 53 countries, and I'm really proud of that, because I've been doing music for a minute now, and had huge success with my group, the Peas," the rapper said. "And coming out with records when you're in a big, successful group that plays stadiums, that's scary to come out by yourself. And to have success at the tune I'm having it, is overwhelming and I'm so grateful."

Tickets for the first weekend of this year's Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in Indio, CA reportedly sold out within 15 minutes, according to the Los Angeles Times. However, tickets for the weekend of April 19 still appear to be available. This year's lineup for the always-in-demand festival includes Red Hot Chili Peppers, Modest Mouse, Blur, The Stone Roses, The Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Lou Reed, Phoenix and Trent Reznor's How to Destroy Angels.

The inaugural Bottle Rock Music & Arts Festival will take over Napa Valley, CA from May 10-12, and it boasts a preliminary roster of The Black Keys, Alabama Shakes, The Shins, The Flaming Lips, Cake, Ben Harper, Mavis Staples, and Rodrigo y Gabriella. The final lineup will be announced in February. More info is available at www.bottlerocknapavalley.com
