Dustin "Slater" Carlson takes the night gig at CHR WODS/Boston. Carlson had most recently been handling APD/afternoon responsibilites at Modern Rock sister KXTE/Las Vegas.

Jeff Kinzbach joins Rock WONE/Akron for mornings effective February 11, reports Ohio Media Watch. Kinzach had been at Classic Rock WNCX/Cleveland doing part-time duties.

Bill Freund will depart as EVP of Triton Digital in the middle of February.

Clear Channel Media and Entertainment-Philadelphia names Anthony Fuscaldo VP of Sales, effective immediately. Fuscaldo will oversee all sales operations for the six station cluster. Fuscaldo is promoted from within Clear Channel-Philadelphia, where he most recently served as GSM. 

WJFX/Fort Wayne is the latest affiliate to add The Bert Show to its programming line-up. Syndicated by YEA Networks, The Bert Show originates out of WWWQ/Atlanta.

In the newest "RAB @ Work" newsletter, President/CEO Erica Farber says to expect a good report on 2012's radio revenue. Farber writes that 2012 "was a positive year," and adds "The current revenue forecast for 2013 shows radio with an overall growth at just under 1%. We are seeing first hand that there is a renewed interest in radio as advertisers and agencies are seeing radio's ability to drive results across all platforms." The 2012 RAB radio revenue report will be released next Friday, February 15.

On Thursday, March 21, the City of Hope will hold its 7th Annual Taste Of Hope event at 360 in New York City (10 Desbrosses St.). The event features dinner, silent and live auctions and of course a wide array of wines. Chairing this year's event will be Allissa Pollack, Island Def Jam President and COO Steve Bartels, RCA President and COO Tom Corson, Bacchaus Importers President Bruce Gearhart, Warner Bros. SVP/Promotion Peter Gray and Palmese Entertainment CEO Richard Palmese.

Rocker Chris Daughtry will be the featured entertainment at the 2013 NAB Show TV Luncheon on April 8 in Las Vegas. Also that day, FCC Commissioner Ajit Pai will lead a session on AM radio revitalization at the NAB Show. This session, held within the Broadcast Management Conference, will address possible options for sustaining and enhancing AM radio as a unique entertainment medium. Commissioner Pai will moderate a panel of AM radio leaders, engineers and policy experts.

Apple announces that the iTunes Music Store has set a new record, with 25 billion songs sold. The 25 billionth song, "Monkey Drums" (Goksel Vancin Remix) by Chase Buch, was purchased by Phillip Lüpke from Germany. As the downloader of the 25 billionth song, he will receive a €10,000 iTunes Gift Card.
