Black Keys
The Black Keys will bring some New Orleans flavor to their Grammy performance on Sunday when Dr. John and the Preservation Hall Jazz Band join them onstage. The Keys are up for five awards, including Album of the Year for El Camino. Another special performance announced on Thursday will come from the collaboration of Travis Barker, Chuck D, LL Cool J, Tom Morello and DJ Z-Trip. The previously announced Grammy lineup already includes Kelly Clarkson, Fun., The Lumineers, Miguel with Wiz Khalifa, Mumford & Sons, Frank Ocean, Taylor Swift, Carrie Underwood, Jack White, Alicia Keys with Maroon 5, and Bruno Mars, Rihanna and Sting in a special performance.

Bud Light Platinum has named Justin Timberlake as Creative Director for the brand. Timberlake will star in a one-minute ad, called "Platinum Night," to air during this Sunday's Grammy Awards. The spot will feature Timberlake's new single, "Suit & Tie," from The 20/20 Experience, which will drop on March 19. "Bud Light Platinum brings a refined, discerning aesthetic to beer that plays well with what I’m doing," Timberlake said in a statement. "I'm looking forward to not only being a part of the creative process, but in bringing other talented musicians to the forefront as well."

One Direction premiered a trailer for its upcoming 3D movie, which is due on August 30. The sneak peek aired today on the U.K. morning show Daybreak, and it showed the guys performing and clowning around. The trailer promises fans will "experience life on the road, in their 3-D movie event," and wraps up with "1D3D" flashing on the screen, possibly hinting at the name of the movie.

Metallica is teaming up with the San Francisco Giants for the first ever "Metallica Night" at AT&T Park on Friday, May 3. When the Giants take on the Los Angeles Dodgers, the band will kick off the game with the National Anthem and first pitch. As previously reported, the group's 3D movie, Metallica Through The Never, is coming to theaters on August 9.

Artists like Ne-Yo, Trey Songz, Common and Nick Cannon will lace up their basketball shoes for the 2013 NBA All-Star Celebrity Game, taking place on Friday, February 15 in Houston. This year's Celebrity Game also will bring in Queen Latifah as an assistant coach. As previously reported, Alicia Keys will provide the halftime entertainment at the NBA All-Star Game, while other performers on the weekend will include John Legend, Fall Out Boy, Ellie Goulding and Phillip Phillips.

Thom Yorke and Nigel Godrich have scheduled a handful of DJ sets, promoting their new side project, Atoms For Peace. Three dates have been announced so far: London on Febraury 22, Berlin on March 8 and New York on March 14. The shows will also include guest DJs and special visuals as well.

Budding guitarist Gary Clark Jr. has announced his plan for the 1st Annual Maverick Music Festival, where he will rock the crowd along with The Toadies, Girl in a Coma, Arum Rae, and Henry + the Invisibles. It will take place on Saturday, March 23 at Maverick Plaza inside historic La Villita in downtown San Antonio, TX. The experience will include daytime programming with local musicians from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., followed by a set of national acts from 6 p.m. to midnight.

The record collection of Joey Ramone is going up for auction online, along with a selection of the late punk rocker's clothes, glasses, his passport, handwritten lyrics and even his Rolodex. In total there are 97 pieces of vinyl for sale, including titles from Led Zeppelin, The Who, T. Rex, Cream, Bob Dylan, Elton John, Iggy Pop, KISS, The Doors, The Temptations and The Ventures. The records came from the Joey Ramone Estate, and RR Auction notes that the collection comes with a letter signed by Joey's brother Mickey attesting to the authenticity. The bidding runs from February 14 to 21.
