FCC Chairman Julius Genachowski will participate in a Q&A session at the 2013 NAB Show in Las Vegas. Genachowski will sit down for a conversation with NAB Joint Board Chair Paul Karpowicz, president of Meredith Corporation - Local Media Group, on Wednesday, April 10 at 9 a.m. in Las Vegas. "NAB looks forward to hosting Chairman Genachowski at the NAB Show once again to hear his views on current and future communications issues before the Commission," said NAB President/CEO Gordon Smith. "This session is sure to be informative for radio and TV broadcasters and an excellent opportunity to learn about the regulatory issues shaping our industry."

CCM+E-Portland names Justin Riley as PD of CHR KKRZ and Rhythmic CHR KXJM, effective March 11. Riley was previously at Cumulus-Albuquerque as PD of CHR KKOB and AC KMGA.

CCM+E Modern Rock WWDC (DC101)/Washington, D.C. announces the lineup for its 2013 DC101 Chili Cook-Off, set for Saturday, May 4 at RFK Stadium Grounds. Soundgarden will headline the festival, with Silversun Pickups, AWOLNATION, Capital Cities, Beware Of Darkness and RDGLDGRN all on the bill as well.

Andrew Zepeda, former morning host at CHR WWWM/Toledo, returns to the morning airwaves via Toledo's App Station. Zepeda, along with Michelle Zepeda, Calen Savage, Brandon Doriot and Corey W. Universal Music vet Frank Briegmann is tapped to preside over the company’s Central European operations. Briegmann will continue to serve as Chairman and CEO of Universal Music Germany and will now also manage the affiliates of Eastern Europe and the Nordic countries. He will also oversee the Universal companies in Switzerland, Austria and the Deutsche Grammophon classical label in the region. He now also joins Universal Music Group International’s international management board.
