Capitol Names Piero Giramoni GM Of Relaunched Harvest Records

Piero Giramonti has been named GM of the relaunched Harvest Records. The appointment was announced by Capitol Records Group EVP Michelle Jubelirer, to whom Giramonti will report. As the head of Harvest, Giramonti "is charged with bringing an independent-label approach to the company; signing a select group of innovative artists and helping them achieve success, while empowering them with the freedom to pursue their artistic visions." Harvest will provide dedicated A&R and marketing resources for its artists and will integrate its efforts with those of the newly expanded Caroline, which will primarily provide commercial support, radio promotion and licensing resources to the label. Giramonti will be based in Hollywood at the iconic Capitol Records Tower.
Jubelirer stated, "Piero’s experience in the indie world, as well as his years and varied resume within major label systems, makes him the perfect person to relaunch and lead Harvest. Piero and his team will build a label where a select roster of original, cutting-edge artists can find strong support and the best of both worlds – the benefits of a dedicated label, as well the clout of Caroline and the Capitol Music Group."

Prior to leading Harvest, Giramonti was President of Dangerbird, the Silverlake-based independent record label, artist management and music publishing company he joined in early 2011, working most notably with Silversun Pickups and overseeing the breakthrough campaign of Fitz and the Tantrums. He served as SVP of Global Marketing for WarnerBrothers Records from 2007 to 2011, and prior to that, Giramonti was SVP of Video and DVD Production for Sony Music North America. He also spent time at Epic Records, Virgin Records and EMI.
