Linkin Park has designed a bracelet to benefit the victims of Hurricane Sandy. Released via the Music For Relief foundation, The bracelet features a black adjustable band with two interlocking circles engraved with "Music For Relief." 100% of all proceeds from the bracelet will support Music For Relief’s Sandy recovery effort in the U.S. and Haiti with partner, International Medical Corps. International Medical Corps is currently implementing long-term programs including cholera treatment, primary health care, water and sanitation, and disaster preparedness following Hurricane Sandy in Haiti. Mike Shinoda of Linkin Park recently traveled to Haiti with Music For Relief and visited International Medical Corps personnel to get a better understanding of their cholera treatment and prevention work. You can see a video on Shinoda's trip here: www.vimeo.com/60975356.

Prince
The always-mysterious Prince rocked Late Night With Jimmy Fallon on Friday night (March 1) with a performance of a new song called "Screwdriver," as well as the 1979 tune "Bambi." After introducing him as "one of the most legendary and influential musicians of all time," Fallon revealed that Prince will start a West Coast tour in mid-April and also noted that both songs Prince performed on the show would be available at www.3rdEyeGirl.com. Both performances are also streaming at latenightwithjimmyfallon.com.

The Joy Formidable are extending their recently-announced headline tour to include additional stops along the east coast and southern U.S. from April through July. The band also confirmed performances at a number of festivals, including the Norman Music Festival in Norman, OK; the Beale Street Festival in Memphis, TN; and the Shaky Knees Fest in Atlanta, GA. The whole tour begins on March 18 in Santa Ana, CA before wrapping on July 13 in Louisville, KY.

With Record Store Day approaching on April 20, many artists are readying exclusive releases for the occasion. Jack White has sanctioned a remastered double-vinyl reissue of the White Stripes' fourth album, Elephant, that will be pressed on red, black and white vinyl. The Black Keys and The Stooges will offer a split 7-inch featuring the Stooges' 1969 cut "No Fun" and the Keys' 2002 cover version. Built to Spill will reissue their 2000 live album as a limited-edition two-LP vinyl and deluxe edition CD, and Deftones will put out the first entry in their career-spanning vinyl set, which will focus on live recordings of songs from their debut album, Adrenaline, that date back to 1996. Many other exclusives can be found at www.recordstoreday.com.

Thom Yorke's side-project Atoms For Peace have expanded their upcoming tour schedule, adding a handful of headlining shows across Europe. The group will spend July on the road in France, Belgium, Germany, Italy and the U.K.

Bad Company and Lynyrd Skynyrd have announced a brief co-headline tour that takes the bands coast-to-coast.  Both groups celebrate significant 40th anniversaries in 2013, with Lynyrd Skynyrd having released their debut album on August 13, 1973 and Bad Company being formed that same year. While the pair have shared the stage and Paul Rodgers has toured with Lynyrd Skynyrd, Bad Company and Skynyrd have never toured as co-headliners together. The trek runs from June 20 in Auburn, WA to July 27 in Bethel, NY.

Singer Bobby Rogers, a founding member of the Motown group The Miracles along with Smokey Robinson, died on Sunday in suburban Detroit after a lengthy illness. He was 73. Robinson released a statement about his former bandmate, saying: "Another soldier in my life has fallen. Bobby Rogers was my brother and a really good friend. I am really going to miss him. I loved him very much." The Miracles released 30 singles that charted in the Top 40, including classics such as "You've Really Got a Hold on Me," "Going to a Go-Go," "I Second That Emotion," "Tears of a Clown" and "Tracks of My Tears." Rogers was inducted with other members of the Miracles into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2012.
