Quick Hits: Justin Timberlake, Arcade Fire, Lil Wayne, Paul McCartney, LL Cool J, Q-Tip, D'Angelo
March 20, 2013

Justin Timberlake has unveiled the epic video for "Mirrors," the second single from The 20/20 Experience. The new clip, directed by Floria Sigismondi, is a tip of the hat to JT's grandparents, William and Sadie Bomar, who were married for 63 years. Check it out below:

Arcade Fire
is toiling away at new music in the New York City recording studio owned by former LCD Soundsystem mastermind and DFA Records co-founder James Murphy. "Arcade Fire STILL with us at DFA," read a post on the DFA Twitter feed. "This is going to be one great sounding album!" The band has been working on the long-awaited follow-up to their 2010 LP, The Suburbs, with drummer Jeremy Gara telling an Ottawa radio station back in October that they hoped to have the album out by the end of 2013. However, no album title or official release date has been announced.

After suffering a seizure last week, Lil Wayne was released from the hospital on Monday and he went home to recuperate. The rapper finally took to Twitter to tell his fans that he is on the mend. "I'm feeling a lot better and again thk u all for ur love and prayers," Weezy wrote. "It was truly felt."

Paul McCartney has announced two new live dates for 2013, which will be part of a new tour called Out There! The tour will see Sir Paul and his band travel the world throughout the year, even visiting some places they've never been before. Further announcements and dates will be added in the coming weeks, but the first two shows announced will take place on June 22 in Warsaw, Poland and June 27 in Vienna, Austria. Meanwhile, Macca also will be a headliner at this year's Bonnaroo festival in Manchester, TN from June 13-16.

Some titans of old school Hip-Hop will be hitting the road together this summer. LL Cool J is the headliner as he readies the release of his new album, Authentic. Cool J's Kings Of the Mic tour also will feature Ice Cube, Public Enemy and De La Soul. Twenty-six dates have been announced, starting May 23 in Tucson, AZ and finishing up July 5 at the Essence Music Festival in New Orleans.

Rapper Q-Tip is working on a new solo album called The Last Zulu, which he told Rolling Stone will likely feature individual cameos from his A Tribe Called Quest bandmates - Phife Dawg, Ali Shaheed Muhammad and Jarobi White. While he didn't say whether a new Tribe album is in the cards, the group does plan on doing more tours together. "We love performing. There's a lot of places around the world that we've yet to hit, believe it or not," Q-Tip said, adding that the group will play a couple of European dates in summer. "We're probably gonna just concentrate on the rest of the world. We've kind of played America."

A documentary about D'Angelo's appearance at last year's Bonnaroo festival has been posted on YouTube. It was the singer's first U.S. concert in 12 years, and he was backed by an all-star band. The YouTube movie is posted in four episodes, including never-seen-before backstage rehearsal material.
