Clear Channel Media + Entertainment Rhythmic AC KSSX (95.7 KISS FM)/San Diego, announced today its new morning show, Chio in the Morning, will debut this Monday, April 8. Chio has worked at such legendary stations as WHTZ (Z100)/New York and WIOQ (Q102)/Philadelphia. He has also worked at KPTY/Phoenix, WZAT/Savannah, GA and KKLQ, XHRM and KHTS in San Diego. Chio in the Morning was named "Best Local Morning Show in America" by FMQB in 2004 and 2010. Chio was also the 2011 recipient of the “Movers and Shakers Award” by the Delaware Valley’s Most Influential Latino Foundation for his work with various charities.

"Perfect weather, beautiful beaches, the largest media company in America, the city that gave me my first major break in my career, the first jock on 95.7 KISS FM, this is an incredible opportunity," said Chio. "I can't wait to entertain and get to know San Diego's listeners."

"We are excited to launch KISS FM’s on-air programming with someone of Chio’s caliber," said John Peake, VP of Programming, CCM+E-San Diego. "Not only will he bring tremendous experience to San Diego’s newest radio station, Chio also will bring a great level of enthusiasm for the Rhythmic AC format and radio in general."
