The morning team of Rob, Arnie & Dawn are still off the air at Rock KRXQ/Sacramento, following last week's comments about the city of Boston following the Marathon bombing. Last Thursday, the trio released a statement saying at the time they expected to be back on-air as of Monday. Rob, Arnie & Dawn were heard on their RadRadio.com live this morning.

Tommy Del Rio is named PD at CHR KCDU/Monterey-Salinas-Santa Cruz. Del Rio will additionally have oversight of AC KBOQ

Tod Tucker steps down as PD of Cox CHR WPUP & AC WGMG/Athens, GA to relocate to Oklahoma City, where he will join Cox Cable in Sales.
 
Adult Hits WILV/Chicago PD Barry James will retire from the station and his broadcasting career on May 17. All told, James' industry career has spanned 36 years, most of those in programming and other senior management roles

Greater Media unveiled the new 100.1 WJRZ-FM/Manahawkin, NJ today. The station will play the greatest hits of the 60’s, 70’s and 80's. “WJRZ-FM is now playing the heritage soundtrack of the Jersey Shore,” said Daniel A. Finn, SVP and Regional GM of Greater Media-New Jersey. “We’re returning to the legacy of WJRZ’s roots.” The station will remain jock-free until the first week of May, concentrating on the music that our listeners grew up with. The new on air line-up will be announced in the near future.

Stork Stop: Congrats to CHR WDZH/Detroit morning host Coop and his wife Kimberly on the birth of Jude Michael Tabler. Jude arrived at 4:33am this morning, weighing 8 lbs 6 oz. Mom, baby Jude and daddy Coop are all doing fantastic.
