The lineup for Philadelphia's annual, free 4th of July concert, part of the city's week-long "Welcome America" celebration of Independence Day, has been announced. Led by John Mayer, Demi Lovato and Philly's own Jill Scott, the concert also includes Ne-Yo, Grace Potter, J. Cole and Ben Taylor. As per tradition, The Roots serve as the house band for the show, as well as assisting in curating the lineup.

The concert will take place on the Ben Franklin Parkway in front of the iconic Philadelphia Art Museum, and also air from 8-11 p.m. ET on both VH1 and Palladia.

"The City of Philadelphia is proud to join with VH1 and Palladia in welcoming an incredibly talented group of musicians to our city this Fourth of July," says Philadelphia Mayor Michael Nutter in a statement.

Roots drummer ?uestlove tweeted, "#welcomeamerica2013 July 4th 2013: w/ The Roots, John Mayer, J Cole, Jill Scott, Demi Levato, Ne Yo, Grace Potter, Dj Jazzy Jeff, and so much more surprises up our sleeve----that I can't tweet about just yet. We promised Mayor Nutter the greatest free party in America. And dagnabit we delivered. Thank You #Philly"
