WQHT (Hot 97)/New York PD Ebro Darden has debunked the pregnancy rumors that have been swirling around Beyonce. Despite multiple reports late last week saying the Pop superstar was pregnant with her second child, Darden said in a video clip released by Hot 97 that Jay-Z had confirmed the rumors were not true. Darden had sent an email to Jay to say congratulations, and the Rapper told him the rumors were false. The video can be seen here.
NBC has confirmed that both Christina Aguilera and Cee-Lo Green will return to The Voice in the fall. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Aguilera and Cee-Lo will swap out once again with Shakira and Usher for the sixth "Cycle" of the singing show in early 2014. Adam Levine and Blake Shelton remain onboard throughout both seasons.
British singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran told Billboard that his sophomore album is essentially done and will be out early in 2014. Speaking before last night's Billboard Music Awards, Sheeran said he had just turned it in to his label and added, "It was going to be this year but I don't finish touring till October and then there's no time to get a plan together. I'm going to spend October, November, December planning and then just smash it out next year."
Even though Coachella 2013 just wrapped up, the festival has already announced its 2014 dates. The annual event will take place April 11-13 and April 18-20 next year in Indio, CA. Advance tickets already go on sale this Friday, May 24.
A new, eco-friendly music festival has emerged in Virginia. Dubbed the Interlocken Music Festival, the event will run from September 5 to 8 at Arrington, VA's Oak Ridge Farm. Headliners include Neil Young & Crazy Horse, Furthur, Zac Brown, the String Cheese Incident, and the Black Crowes. The fest will feature two main stages and many of the acts will play different sets on multiple days. All the info can be found at www.interlockenfestival.com.
An electric guitar played by late BeatlesJohn Lennon and George Harrison fetched $408,000 at auction over the weekend, according to Billboard.com. The sale was part of the Music Icons event that was held on Saturday at the Hard Rock Cafe in Manhattan. Harrison had apparently practiced the Beatles hit "I Am The Walrus" with the instrument, while Lennon used it in a video session for the song "Hello, Goodbye." Before the sale, the instrument was on display at a museum in Ireland.
