In a SiriusXM shareholders meeting yesterday, the satcaster's CEO James Meyer spoke optimistically about the company's projections for the near future. At the end of the first quarter, SiriusXM had 24.4 million subscribers, and Meyer said the satcaster now projects to end 2013 with roughly 25.3 million subscribers.
Meyer also spoke of SiriusXM's "superior revenue model" when compared to its competitors. In its presentation, SiriusXM claimed $142.34/subscriber, while Pandora brings in $6.51 per active user and Clear Channel earns $12.91 per listener.
SiriusXM projects 2013 revenue of over $3.7 billion, with adjusted EBITA of over $1.1 billion and free cash flow of roughly $915 million.
