The MTV Networks held their unique, eclectic O Music Awards over 24 hours, with rocker Andrew WK setting a new world's record along the way. More than 100 million votes were cast for the O Music Awards, which features a wide variety of offbeat categories. Jack White was named "Analog Genius," while Joe Jonas won for Best Artist Instagram. Linkin Park's clip for "Lost In The Echo" was named Best Interactive Video and Yoko Ono was honored with the Digital Genius Award. Other notable winners included Kitty for Best Web-Born Artist, Avicii for Most Inspiring Fan Outreach and Tokyo Hotel's fanbase was given the Fan Army FTW award. Additionally, David Bowie's video for "The Stars (Are Out Tonight)" won the Too Much Ass For TV award.

As for Andrew WK, he set a record for the Longest Drum Session In A Retail Store. To aid in this rhythmic feat of endurance, he was joined by a whoís who of drummers including Chad Smith (Red Hot Chili Peppers), Marky Ramone (Ramones), ?uestlove, Zac Hanson (Hanson), Liberty DeVitto (former drummer for Billy Joel) and more.  Even Oscar-winning actor Cuba Gooding Jr. stopped by to play the cowbell. After 24-hour banging hours, Andrew W.K. commented on setting the new record and winning the award for "Must Follow-Artist" on Twitter, "Iím humbled, my ears are ringing bad, Iím emotional and Iíve never felt so spent in my life. But Iím so thankful for everyone that contributed and supported me."

Additionally, more than 50 bands, five kittens and one goat took part in "Live Music Day Festival," the worldís largest online/mobile only music festival. Some of the acts involved included: Atlas Genius, Matt Nathanson, Kate Nash, Gavin DeGraw, Grouplove, The Features, Hanson, The Jonas Brothers, Kopecky Family Band and many, many more.
