At Modern Rock KMYZ/Tulsa, morning talent Tara and night host Mikey B exit.

Legendary major market morning and night talent Mikey Esparza and 20-year major market Rock programmer and talent Russ Mottla will return to radio next month as co-hosts of the nationally-syndicated Classic Rock show Rock All Night. Rock All Night will air live from midnight to 6 a.m., ET, Monday-Friday. Also involved in programming Rock All Night is 20+-year programmer-turned-attorney Steve Hoffman, the 14-year PD of KCAL/Riverside who has also programmed in San Francisco, San Diego, Las Vegas, and Bakersfield.

Inspirational WPPZ/Philadelphia Programming Assistant Kyle Glover rises to the MD post. Glover will continue to also assist in the programming of WPPZ and sister Urban Oldies WRNB.

Rock KSHE/St. Louis names Steve Williams as GSM, while Alana Doran becomes GSM of sister Emmis Adult Hits KIHT.

At CCM+E-Seattle, Katerina Perez is appointed VP of Sales for the cluster, effective August 1.

Peggy Johnson, EVP of Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. and President/Global Marketing Development, is appointed to the Live Nation Entertainment Board of Directors as a new independent director, effective June 20. 

Greg Bays is promoted to EVP of Capitol Christian Distribution. Bays has been with the company for 21 years, rising to the position of SVP, Sales and Marketing in 2005. 

Beasley Broadcast-Las Vegas announces that News/Talk KDWN-AM PD John Shaffer has been elected the 2013-2014 President of the Associated Press Television and Radio Association (APTRA) representing 13 western states, including California, Nevada, Hawaii, Arizona, Idaho, New Mexico, Washington, Colorado, Montana, Utah, Wyoming, Alaska and Oregon.

CBS Radio announces it has just signed its 300th affiliate for the CBS Sports Radio network. CBS Sports Radio has more than tripled its reach since the new venture was announced with programming available in all of the Top 10 and 35 of the Top 50 markets across the United States.

Independent labels Dead Oceans, Jagjaguwar and Secretly Canadian add Numero Group to their ranks, as the four labels will now exist under the newly-created umbrella of Secretly Label Group. Ben Swanson, Chris Swanson and Darius Van Arman (all partners in the Dead Oceans, Jagjaguwar and Secretly Canadian labels) are each joining Numero Group ownership as partners. Numero Group will retain a unique marketing and A&R staff in Chicago, handling all creative and marketing aspects of the label, while Dead Oceans, Jagjaguwar and Secretly Canadian’s global A&R and marketing team will remain focused solely on those three labels.

BIA/Kelsey announces two promotions, as analyst Michael Boland is named VP of Content and analyst Jed Williams becomes VP of Consulting. In addition, veteran digital media executive Warren Kay has joined the firm as executive-in-residence.
