The two FCC reform bills have now been introduced into the Senate by Sen. Dean Heller (R-NV). Last Thursday, the House Communications Subcommittee passed the FCC Process Reform Act and the FCC Consolidated Reporting Act. Heller introduced the Process Reform Act on Tuesday and the Consolidated Reporting Act on Monday.

L & L Broadcasting names Gigi South as the new Market Manager for both the Savannah, GA and Hilton Head, SC clusters. Bob Proffitt, CEO of L & L Broadcasting, stated, "Gigi is ideally suited to lead our team in Georgia and South Carolina. She understands the passion, energy and commitment necessary to win with our live & local approach to radio broadcasting."

Steve Harris exits the OM post at Radio One-Cincinnati. Also at Radio One-Cincy, Sports/Talk WCFN flips to R&B Oldies as Old School 100.3 with Tom Joyner in mornings.

Classic Country KBZD/Amarillo is now Hot AC Fun 99.7.

Dave Mason exits the PD/midday gig at Classic Hits XHPRS/San Digeo for the APD post at CBS Radio Classic Hits KRTH/Los Angeles. Mason starts on September 4. Across the hall at Smooth AC KTWV/L.A., Alexa Smith is named APD. She arrives from CBS-Sacramento.
 
Kevin Gardner is named PD at Urban AC KRNB/Dallas.

Jake McCann is promoted to Director of Sales for Greater Media-Detroit based stations which include WRIF-FM, WCSX-FM and WMGC-FM. McCann most recently served as the GSM of 97.5 The Fanatic/950 ESPN and as a Sales Manager at WMGK-FM and 950 ESPN in the company’s Philadelphia cluster.

Two more General Motors vehicles with HD Radio technology have arrived at dealerships: the 2014 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra.
