Get in the holiday spirit with Kelly Clarkson as she releases her first Christmas album, Wrapped in Red, on October 29. The first single, "Underneath The Tree," is an original holiday song, but Wrapped In Red also will include standards like "Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas," "Blue Christmas," "Run Run Rudolph," "Please Come Home For Christmas" and many more. "I'm super excited to put out my first Christmas record," says Clarkson. "I absolutely love Christmas music and have had a total blast recording and writing for it. I can't wait for y'all to hear it."
Target will offer an exclusive special edition of Justin Timberlake's The 20/20 Experience - 2 of 2. The deluxe version and the vinyl deluxe version will include two bonus tracks, "Blindness" and "Electric Lady," and they can be pre-ordered now on Target.com. They will be available in stores and online on September 30.
Dave Grohl told London's XFM radio station that the next Foo Fighters record has already been composed. "We have been in our studio writing, and in the past few weeks we've written an album and we are going to make this album in a way that no one's ever done before, and we're pretty excited about it," Grohl admitted. "It's a little ways off - it's not ready to happen right now but I think next year is going to be a really big year for the Foo Fighters without question." Guitarist Chris Shiflett mirrored that sentiment, telling Rolling Stone, "We're going to start recording the new Foo Fighters record at the beginning of next year."
Demi Lovato is nearing a deal to join the show Glee for its upcoming fifth season, TVLine.com reports. Lovato's deal calls for her to appear in at least six episodes, beginning with the second part of the show's Beatles tribute, airing October 3. The report also says that her character will interact frequently with Adam Lambert's incoming character, and the pair will have several musical numbers together.
twenty one pilots have announced plans for their upcoming North American headline tour. The band will embark on their Trip For Concerts – Autumn 2013 trek beginning October 17 in Nashville. Accompanying twenty one pilots on the tour will be special guests Robert DeLong (10/17 – 11/22), Smallpools (11/25 – 12/5), and Sirah (10/17 – 12/5). Additional dates will be announced soon.
Switchfoot will release a 3-song digital EP titled Fading West on September 17. The EP will feature tracks from the upcoming full-length album, Fading West, set for release on January 14, including "Who We Are," "Love Alone Is Worth the Fight," and "Ba55." A special physical edition of the EP will be available only on Switchfoot's fall tour, which kicks off September 20 in St. Louis.
Aerosmith has pulled out of two August festival appearances in China, saying that the promoter was "Unable to Meet Contractual Obligations." In a statement on the band's website, Steven Tyler says: "We are extremely upset to have disappointed our dedicated fans. They have welcomed us into their country and due to uncontrollable circumstances we will not be able to perform. We were so excited to share our music with them and look forward to one day returning and giving them the show they deserve." Bassist Tom Hamilton added that "It's always been a dream of ours to play in Shanghai and Taipei, and meet our fans there. We were really looking forward to visiting Shanghai and Taipei... and are very disappointed that these two shows have been canceled."
Keane will release their first greatest hits collection, The Best of Keane, on November 12, and the band is throwing in two new songs called "Higher Than the Sun" and "Won't Be Broken." A deluxe, two-disc version of the set also will include a third new song and 17 b-sides.
