Capitol Music Group Announces Joint Venture With Troy Carter & Atom Factory

Artist manager Troy Carter and his Atom Factory entertainment and technology company has partnered with CapitolMusic Group to form Atom Factory Music, it was announced today by Carter and CMG Chairman/CEO Steve Barnett. Carter is best known the manager of Lady Gaga and John Legend.
The newly minted label -- a joint venture between the two companies -- will sign and develop artists across all music genres and distribute its releases worldwide. The first artists signed to Atom Factory Music include two alternative rock bands: New York’s Basic Vacation, and Los Angeles-based The Ceremonies.
Barnett commented, "We want Capitol to be a home for the most bold and innovative thinkers in music and entertainment, and Troy certainly fits the bill. He’s highly creative and has proven time and again that he can harness modern technology, social media and branding to effectively propel artists to the top."
Carter said, "When I sat with Lucian Grainge last year about possibly forming a new music label, he told me that he'd be investing in an all-star team to revitalize Capitol. The assembled group has exceeded all my expectations and I'm looking forward to getting started with Steve, MichelleJubelirer, and the rest of the Capitol family."
