Quick Hits: Lady Gaga, Fergie, Made In America festival, Nine Inch Nails, Stone Temple Pilots with Chester Bennington
August 30, 2013

Lady Gaga has released a second preview clip from her rehearsals for the iTunes Festival in London. The new clip gives a taste of the ARTPOP song "Manicure," though Gaga's band obscures her vocals in the footage. She tweeted on Thursday, "THE SOUND QUALITY OF THESE CLIPS HAS BEEN OBSTRUCTED TO GIVE YOU A TASTE OF ARTPOP BUT ULTIMATELY CONFUSE YOU UNTIL SUNDAY." Gaga also revealed some of the lyrics to "Manicure" on Twitter as well. Meanwhile, in a new interview with MTV, producer DJ White Shadow revealed that, "It was less than a week that she had hit me [after Born This Way] ... and she literally sent me [the note] 'The next album's called ARTPOP.' She had the name and the general concept for the record a week after Born This Way came out." He added, "It's different, it's a different record. We didn't sit down and say 'ARTPOP has to be this.' It's like that's how she's feeling at the time. I think it's a really fun album. There's really fun stuff on there." Watch the "Manicure" clip below:

Fergie gave birth on Thursday to her first child with her husband, actor Josh Duhamel. The Black Eyed Pea and Transformers star named their son Axl Jack Duhamel, according to reports. Additionally, Fergie recently changed her name from Stacy Ann Ferguson to Fergie Duhamel.

In addition to screening at the Toronto International Film Festival in September, Ron Howard's documentary about the 2012 Made In America festival will also air on Showtime on October 11. The film looks at Jay Z's curated festival from last year, which was headlined by the J-HOVA himself and Pearl Jam in Philadelphia. This year's Made In America festival takes place this weekend with Beyonce and Nine Inch Nails headlining. It will stream online via YouTube, Spotify and MySpace.

Nine Inch Nails have released a short documentary about the rehearsal process and creation of their current summer tour. The film is part of VEVO's new "Tour Exposed" series of programs and goes behind-the-scenes with Trent Reznor and the production of NIN's 2013 stage show. Of course, Reznor plans to debut a completely different setup when NIN go from festival dates to their own headlining tour in the fall. You can see the film below:

Yesterday, it was reported that the new-look Stone Temple Pilots would release an EP, titled High Rise, on October 5. Billboard adds that the EP will officially be released under the name Stone Temple Pilots with Chester Bennington, likely due to the legal action from Scott Weiland.
