FMQB has confirmed that longtime CBS Radio executive Greg Strassell has exited the company. Strassell was most recently SVP of Programming for the broadcaster. The announcement was made in a staff memo from CBS Radio EVP of Programming Chris Oliviero.
According to Oliviero, Strassell is "moving on to other opportunities within the industry." He continued, "I know that you all join me in thanking Greg for his many years of contributions to CBS Radio as well as wishing him and his family all the best in the future. On a personal note, I have worked side by side with Greg for nearly a decade and know firsthand his passion and dedication to our radio stations, and of course you our fellow programmers. I have enjoyed partnering with him to help build an outstanding portfolio of stations and world-class brands. But most importantly, I appreciate his friendship all these years."
Oliviero added that "I look forward to following up shortly with more updates in regards to the programming department in the near future."
