After teasing fans with photos from the set of a video shoot, Britney Spears finally revealed on Twitter that her new single, "Work Bitch," will premiere on Monday, September 16 at 6 p.m. EST through iHeartRadio and local radio stations. The track will be released hours later on September 17 at 12:01 a.m. EST through iTunes. Spears also tweeted: "EPIC EPIC 3 days shooting #WorkBitch in the desert with Ben Mor. Thanks for braving the heat with me. #NextLevelVideo :)" The singer is set to appear on Good Morning America on September 17.
Drake has posted a brief trailer for his new album on Vimeo. The Nothing Was The Same trailer features a motorcade of luxury cars sporting small Canadian flags while a beat plays in the background. Drake unveiled the tracklist for the album last week, and it drops on September 24. Check out the trailer below:
Rapper Earl Sweatshirt is taking off on his first headlining solo tour in North America, which includes stops at the Rock the Bells and Life is Beautiful festivals. Hodgy Beats, Domo Genesis, and Vince Staples will join him on select dates. Tickets for the tour will go on sale on September 13 via Odd Future's website.
Elton John will make his first appearance on the Emmy Awards this year to perform a tribute to Liberace. Behind the Candelabra, the HBO Liberace biopic, is nominated for 15 awards at the 65th annual show, which takes place on September 22. Meanwhile, Sir Elton's new album, The Diving Board, is due on September 24.
The shortlist of nominees has been announced for the 2013 Mercury Prize, honoring the best British album of the year. Of the 12 albums, one winner will be chosen on October 30. Nominees include David Bowie's The Next Day, ArcticMonkeys'AM,James Blake's Overgrown and Foals'Holy Fire.
