Robin Thicke Plots 2014 Tour
September 13, 2013

Robin Thicke
Robin Thicke has announced that he'll hit the road in 2014 for a headlining tour. Thicke will bring out Jessie J and DJ Cassidy as his special guests. The 15-city tour will kick off February 21 in Atlanta and weave through the U.S. and Canada before ending on March 29 in San Francisco. Tickets go on sale September 20.

In other news, Thicke has finally spoken out about his MTV VMA performance with Miley Cyrus, which has kept many media outlets and fans buzzing for the past few weeks. While some thought the twerk-heavy performance was too risque, Thicke says he does not consider it to be "sexually charged" at all.

"Everybody comes from different places and has their own opinions. But when people use the word 'sexual,' I didn't feel anything sexual about the performance. I thought it was silly and funny. She was being humorous and naughty. But it wasn't sexually charged at all," Thicke told Star magazine. "That's who she is and that's how she likes to dance. And she was just being herself and I was just being myself."

He also explained that the whole point of the MTV VMAs is to bring a little controversy to the party. "We knew what we were getting ourselves into. We're entertainers, and the VMAs is the perfect place for a little shock and awe," Thicke added. "We kind of knew when we were in rehearsal and we were like, 'OK, if you touch me with your foam finger all over my crotch, obviously a few people are going to have something to say about this!' But that was the whole point. The whole point was to excite and provoke and entertain."

His confirmed tour dates are as follows:

Feb. 21 - Atlanta
Feb. 25 - Camden, NJ
Feb. 27 - Washington, DC
March 1 - Mashantucket, CT
March 2 - Atlantic City, NJ
March 4 - Boston
