Emmis Communications has reported its financial results for the company's fiscal second quarter, which ended August 31, 2013. Emmis' radio net revenues for the second fiscal quarter were up 3.5 percent, from almost $40 million a year ago to $41.3 million. The markets in which Emmis operates were up 3.3 percent during the quarter. Publishing net revenues were up 5.7 percent for fiscal Q2, to $13.7 million. On a consolidated basis, total revenue for Emmis in its fiscal Q2 was $55 million, compared to $52.9 million in the same quarter a year ago.
