Galaxy Communications, which owns 14 radio stations in the Syracuse and Utica markets, and also Galaxy Events, has announced the creation of a new Sports Marketing Division. To oversee this new initiative, Galaxy Sports Marketing has hired Ken Elander as GM. Elander is a veteran business executive in Central New York, having held high ranking positions at companies such as Time Warner Cable, Driverís Village and WTVH.
