Clear Channel's Tom Poleman To Be Honored By Musicians On Call

Clear Channel Media and Entertainment President of National Programming Platforms Tom Poleman will be honored at the upcoming Musicians On Call (MOC) Gala to be held on November 12 at Gotham Hall in New York City. MOC is a nonprofit organization that brings live and recorded music to the bedsides of patients. Launched in 1999, this will mark the first time MOC will honor someone for his outstanding commitment to the organization. Through the years, Poleman has been an avid champion of MOC, serving as Board Co-Chairperson for over a decade and lending his time and support to help lighten the experience for patients being treated at hospitals across the country. Poleman has spent many hours as a Musician On Call volunteer and early this week joined actor, musician and star of Glee, Darren Criss, at the Mattel Children’s Hospital at UCLA to perform at the bedsides of patients.

Paramore and Gavin DeGraw will perform at the event. Elvis Duran will host the evening in honor of his longtime friend. 

Poleman has been with Clear Channel for over 15 years and currently serves as President of National Programming Platforms for CCM+E, where he oversees national on-air, digital, and live-event content. His responsibilities also include on-air talent development, digital programming, national contesting, artist relations, along with music and live event marketing. Poleman is also co-executive producer of Clear Channel's annual iHeartRadio Music Festival.

"Tom Poleman has been a driving force behind Musicians On Call for over a decade. He has not only served as Co-Chairperson of the Board of Directors where he had helped to steer the course of MOC, but he has been a volunteer musician at the bedsides of patients many times – most recently early this week in Los Angeles at the Mattel Children’s Hospital at UCLA. Thanks to Tom and Clear Channel’s support, Musicians On Call has been able to raise funds to grow our Bedside Performance Programs to 42 times a week in six cities. It is most fitting that our first event honoring someone for outstanding commitment to the organization goes to Tom Poleman. He sets the bar high," says Dr. Leslie Faerstein, Executive Director of Musicians On Call.

Poleman is deeply committed to serving his local community. He has served as Board Co-Chairperson of MOC for over a decade and currently sits on the Board of Directors for MusiCares. He was honored in 2006 by the Explorer’s Club, 2004 by LIFEbeat - The Music Industry Fights AIDS, 1999 by the T.J. Martell Foundation and, also in 1999, as the recipient of the Gloria Swanson Humanitarian Award by the American Cinema Awards Foundation.
