RCA Records and Justin Timberlake celebrated the success of Justinís album The 20/20 Experience, with a plaque commemorating over 4.75 million albums sold worldwide during his promo run for The 20/20 Experience - 2 of 2.

Tom Hardy (The Dark Knight Rises, Inception) has been cast as Elton John in Rocketman, a biopic about the legendary musician. Variety reports the film is slated to be shot in the fall of 2014, and Elton will re-record many of his hit songs to be used in the movie. Rocketman will be directed by Michael Gracey (The Greatest Showman On Earth).
The Who could be ending their legendary touring career in 2015, according to a new interview with Pete Townshend. The Who guitarist told the Evening Standard that he and Roger Daltrey plan to celebrate the band's 50th anniversary that year by touring the globe, but "it'll be the last big one for us.There are still plenty of places weíve not played. It would be good to go to eastern Europe and places that havenít heard us play all the old hits."
More artists have been added to the 2013 MTV EMAs, as Robin Thicke, Snoop Dogg (back to his old name to celebrate the 20th anniversary of his album Doggystyle), Imagine Dragons and Afrojack will all play the European awards show. "I am grateful and excited to be nominated and performing at this year's EMAs. I know it will be an amazing night!," said Thicke in a statement. The EMAs will be handed out in Amsterdam on November 10.
One Direction is the latest group added to the lineup for the American Music Awards, airing November 24 on ABC. The British boy band will release their new album, Midnight Memories, the next day.
Alternative rockers Jane's Addiction will be taking up "legendary" status as they will be inducted to the Hollywood Walk Of Fame on Wednesday, October 30 by guest speakers John Densmore of The Doors and Taylor Hawkins of Foo Fighters. The band, who's star will be located at 6436 Hollywood Blvd, will be performing an outdoor show on Jimmy Kimmel Live.
Daft Punk will release a massive deluxe box set of their 2013 album Random Access Memories in early December. The box includes the record on double-vinyl, a 10" single of "Giorgio By Moroder," a book of lyrics and art, a 56-page hardcover book, the album again on a USB drive with bonus tracks, posters and much more.
Pitbull will be rereleasing a deluxe edition of his hit album Global Warming, retitled as Global Warming: Meltdown. The album will be released November 25 and will include five new tracks. The deluxe edition release will include the single "Timber" featuring Ke$ha. Four other new tracks include collaborations with Kelly Rowland, Mayer Hawthorne, Mohombi and Inna, in addition to the original tracks. For those who already own Global Warming, the five new tracks will also be available as an EP entitled Meltdown.
Billboard will honor Janelle MonŠe with its Rising Star Award, as part of the Billboard Women In Music event on November 10 in New York City. "Being recognized for your hard work and passion is always humbling and encouraging. I feel honored Billboard has taken note of my journey in the music industry thus far," MonŠe said. "I hope by receiving this award I'm encouraging aspiring acts to stay true to their own artistic visions and never give up." MonŠe plays Saturday Night Live this weekend.
Michael Jackson tops Forbes' newest list of the top-earning dead celebrities, as the King Of Pop's estate brought in $160 million over the past year. Elvis Presley was ranked second with a distant $55 million.
Dido will be releasing her Greatest Hits collection November 25. The album will include a new track entitled "NYC." A standard and deluxe version will be released, the deluxe version includes 13 remixes, including a new remix of "White Flag" by Timbaland, "Go Dreaming" by Mantronix, "End of Night" by Cedric Gervais, and MJ Coles' "Hunter." The deluxe version is only available digitally, while the standard album is available in both CD and digital format.
The long-awaited new album from Punk rockers Against Me! finally has a release date. Transgender Dysphoria Blues will be out January 21 on the band's own Total Trebel label. The ten-track album is the first release since frontwoman Laura Jane Grace came out as transgendered in 2012, and the band plans to tour extensively behind the record next year.
