Spotify Reports 4.5 Billion Hours Of Streaming In 2013

Spotify has released a 2013 year in review report, revealing that listeners streamed 4.5 billion hours in total via the digital music service this year, with a billion playlists created so far in 2013. Spotify has 24 million active users currently.
The most-played song in a 24 hour period was Daft Punk's "Get Lucky," with 1.5 million streams. Spotify says it added another 20,000 songs every day. The most-streamed song in the last five years via the service was Macklemore & Ryan Lewis's hit "Thrift Shop," with over 150 million streams.
Looking at its U.S. data, Imagine Dragons' "Radioactive" was the most-streamed track in 2013, followed by "Thrift Shop" and another massive Macklemore & Lewis hit, "Can't Hold Us," at #3. "Get Lucky" was ranked #4 and Robin Thicke's "Blurred Lines" was #5.
Imagine Dragons' Night Visions was also the most-streamed album via Spotify, with Macklemore & Lewis' The Heist ranked #2 and The Lumineers' self-titled release at #3. Bruno Mars was at #4 with Unorthodox Jukebox and Jay Z's Magna Carta Holy Grail was fifth.
Drake was the most-streamed artist on Spotify in 2013, followed by Jay Z, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Imagine Dragons and Kanye West.
