Clear Channel's KTLK-AM/L.A. Becomes "The Patriot"
December 5, 2013
Clear Channel Media and Entertainment-Los Angeles has announced a series of changes to its AM Talk stations, as KTLK-AM is rebranded "The Patriot," with a lineup of Conservative Talkers led by Rush Limbaugh. Rush moves from his longtime L.A. home of sister KFI-AM and will be heard 9a-noon PT. "The Patriot" will also include Glenn Beck, Sean Hannity and Clark Howard. The new lineup will be in place as of January 2, 2014.
Meanwhile across the hall, KFI-AM will be all live and local News and Talk, as of January 2 as well, with a new on-air lineup.
"Los Angeles is one of the most dynamic radio markets in the United States and we want to present the best of talk radio from across the spectrum," said Robin Bertolucci, KFI & KTLK PD. "These changes are designed to give our current and future programming a home where listeners can find and enjoy their favorite talk show hosts."
"The Patriot and KFI will provide listeners with access to a broad range of talk programming, opinions and commentary," said Greg Ashlock, Market President for CCM+E-Los Angeles. "The Patriot will be home to well-known hosts sharing the same conservative philosophical views and values, while KFI will be live and local all day long focusing mainly on the issues that affect Southern Californians."
