Effective today, WABC-AM/New York begins rolling out six new hours of exclusive live and local programming which features some of the Big Apple's premier media personalities. Curtis Sliwa and Ron Kuby return to WABC with "Curtis & Kuby" airing noon-3 pm. As of Monday, January 6, NY1 anchor Pat Kiernan joins WABC to co-host a fast-paced hour of information and opinion with an emphasis on the New York area. With the search for a co-host ongoing, a variety of candidates will be paired with Kiernan for on-air tryouts in the coming weeks. And also beginning on January 6, as previously announced, New York native Geraldo Rivera's "Geraldo" will turn its focus exclusively to New York area issues from 10 a.m-noon.
Glassnote Records announces Elliott Garstin has joined the label as Southeast Manager of Promotion based out of Atlanta, and will report directly to Glassnoteís Head of Promotion, Nick Petropoulos, starting today. Conservative Talk host Bob Grant has passed away at the age of 84. Grant spent over 50 years on the air, and was best known for his time in the Big Apple at WMCA-AM, WOR-AM and WABC-AM.
