Stan Priest exits CCM+E-Philadelphia, where he was PD of CHR WIOQ (Q102) and Digital PD for the cluster. He can be reached at Priest has also spent time at WKSS/Hartford, WKCI/New Haven and WFLZ/Tampa. Priest told FMQB, "I appreciate the opportunity I was given in Philly and I enjoyed my time there. I am eagerly looking forward to my next opportunity."

Clear Channel Media and Entertainment-Greensboro announces the debut of 105.7 The Buzz, WVBZ and 100.3 KISS-FM, WMKS. The stations have traded frequencies, The Buzz flips from Active Rock to Modern Rock and KISS was previously "105.7 NOW."
     105.7 The Buzz, The Triadís New Rock Alternative station, features artists like The Red Hot Chili Peppers, Mumford & Sons, Foo Fighters, Muse, and Linkin Park. The new station is the Triadís only Alternative Rock station, bringing a genre of music that has been missing for many years. 100.3 KISS FM, The Triadís Hit Music Station, changes frequencies and continues to bring the Triad the best in current Top 40 music like Katy Perry, Macklemore, Rihanna, Imagine Dragons, and Justin Timberlake. "We are very thrilled to bring the alternative format back to the Triad with 105.7 The Buzz. There has been a strong demand for this style of music for quite some time and we are excited to fill that need," said Keith Allen, PD for 105.7 The Buzz and 100.3 KISS-FM. "100.3 KISS-FM will continue to play the best hit music, bringing fashion and pop culture news to our listeners. We're excited to entertain our listeners in 2014."
Effective today, WABC-AM/New York begins rolling out six new hours of exclusive live and local programming which features some of the Big Apple's premier media personalities. Curtis Sliwa and Ron Kuby return to WABC with "Curtis & Kuby" airing noon-3 pm. As of Monday, January 6, NY1 anchor Pat Kiernan joins WABC to co-host a fast-paced hour of information and opinion with an emphasis on the New York area.  With the search for a co-host ongoing, a variety of candidates will be paired with Kiernan for on-air tryouts in the coming weeks. And also beginning on January 6, as previously announced, New York native Geraldo Rivera's "Geraldo" will turn its focus exclusively to New York area issues from 10 a.m-noon.

Glassnote Records announces Elliott Garstin has joined the label as Southeast Manager of Promotion based out of Atlanta, and will report directly to Glassnoteís Head of Promotion, Nick Petropoulos, starting today. "I am incredibly excited to be joining Daniel, Nick, Michael and the rest of the Glassnote Family," Elliott says. "They have an amazing roster of unique and diverse artists who are constantly pushing music forward. I can't wait to work with them and all of the great stations in the Southeast." Petropoulos states, "We couldn't be more excited to announce Elliott's addition to Glassnote's Promotion Department. His knowledge and passion for music is infectious and has only grown since his days at 99X." 

FMQB offers condolences to the family and friends of Ashton ďKimo AkaneĒ Kaiuwailani, Program Director at KINE FM/Honolulu, long time radio personality, broadcast mentor, and MidWeek columnist who died Monday (12/31). He was 58.

Conservative Talk host Bob Grant has passed away at the age of 84. Grant spent over 50 years on the air, and was best known for his time in the Big Apple at WMCA-AM, WOR-AM and WABC-AM.
