Curb announces a realignment as company vet and GM Dennis Hannon is elevated to EVP of Strategic Development for Curb Records. Curb Group CEO Jim Ed Norman will now expand his duties to include the oversight of Curb Records, Sidewalk Records, The Curb Family Foundation, Curb Racing, and Curb Publishing

American General Media names veteran programmer and personality Picazzo Stevens as PD for CHR/Rhythmmic KAGM-FM and Modern Rock KARS-AM/K75AO) (Power 106.7/Albuquerque and AREA 102.9/Albuquerque, respectively), effective immediately. Above and beyond is PD duties, Stevens will also serve on air during afternoon drive on KAGM weekdays.

Urban WJLB/Detroit adds the syndicated The Breakfast Club for mornings, beginning January 13. Mr. Chase will join the show weekday mornings to provide local content and programming throughout the show.

Spanish Brodcasting System launches I-95 (WRMA)/Miami, a new Rhythmic/CHR format that combines Hispanic pop with a handful of current English pop hits and popular ballads in Spanish and English. Meanwhile, WXDJ (106.7)/Miami will air the El Zol format.
 
This years MIDEM show in Cannes, France will feature an address from veteran music industry executive Lyor Cohen. On February 2, Cohen, the co-founder of Def Jam Records and Warner Music Group CEO, now in charge of his new company, 300, will  provide insight into the strategies he believes will deliver "the next generation of cutting-edge talent to consumers in an increasingly digital environment."

Atlantic Records announces that acclaimed hip-hop artist DJ Drama has joined the company’s A&R staff. In addition to his day-to-day A&R duties, including the discovery of new artists and overseeing recording projects, he will contribute to the artist development process for existing talent on the Atlantic roster.  Based in Atlanta, Drama was named “DJ Of The Year” at the 2013 BET Hip Hop Awards.
 
SiriusXM reported 1.66 million net subscriber additions in 2013 closing out the year with 25.56 million subscribers.  Self-pay net additions in 2013 were 1.5 million for the full year, bringing self-pay subscriptions to over 21 million.

Veteran network radio research exec Len Klatt will join Compass Media as a research consultant and advisory. Klatt previously spent 16 years with Premiere Networks and 11 years at Westwood One.

Envision Radio Networks’ Full Metal Jackie Radio welcomes KBOB-FM/Davenport, IA as its newest affiliate. The show will air Saturday night at 10 p.m.

iBiquity Digital Corporation, the developer of digital HD Radio Technology, today announced that all major automakers offer the technology. There are 33 automotive brands that currently offer HD Radio audio, traffic or data features. Now that all major automakers have launched HD Radio Technology for the digital AM & FM audio features, five OEMs, including Toyota, Lexus, Honda, Mazda, and Mitsubishi, have launched vehicles that use the digital broadcasts to receive traffic and data information as well.
