Young Money Entertainment is readying a new compilation album. Young Money: Rise of an Empire is due in stores on March 11, and the album will feature Lil Wayne, Drake, Nicki Minaj, Gudda Gudda, Tyga, Shanell, Christina Milian and more. The first single, "We Alright," boasts verses from Wayne, Birdman and newly-signed Rhode Island rapper Euro. "There's nothing like it when the whole family gets together in the studio," Weezy said in a statement. "YMCMB is stronger than ever, and everybody was truly on fire. We're all blessed to be a part of this incredible Empire as it continues to thrive. I can't wait for what's next. Keep watching."
Grouplove has announced the digital release of I'm With You, a short form documentary and concert film, which will be available at iTunes and Amazon on February 25. Shot by filmmaker Sam Erickson – known for his work with Dave Matthews Band and My Morning Jacket – I'm With You explores Grouplove's history and traces their unique story, combining interviews and live performance footage. The digital video bundle also will include six exclusive audio tracks recorded during the band's SeeSaw Tour.
Eminem's D12 crew might be prepping for a comeback. The Dirty Dozen hasn't dropped an album since 2004's D12 World, but longtime Eminem producer Mark Bass told the Detroit Free Press that he is busy mixing new tracks from the group, three of which feature Eminem. Bass also mentioned that he's been mixing new material by Sly Stone with members of the original Family Stone band.
Jack White's Third Man Records will release a new album from Neil Young called A Letter Home. Young's website describes the album as "an unheard collection of rediscovered songs from the past recorded on ancient electro mechanical technology." Young recently told Rolling Stone that the record will be out in March, though that has not been officially confirmed.
