Ten albums from the Bruce Springsteen catalog have been remastered for sale on the iTunes store. Five of those re-released classics -- Greetings from Asbury Park, NJ, The Wild, The Innocent & The E Street Shuffle, Born To Run, Darkness On The Edge Of Town, and Born In The U.S.A. -- have been transferred from analog to digital using new Plangent Processes technology for the first time, Billboard reports. All 10 albums were remastered by Bob Ludwig, the audio engineer known for his work on records by Led Zeppelin, Jimi Hendrix and the Rolling Stones.
The five other new offerings on iTunes are We Shall Overcome -- The Seeger Sessions, Working On A Dream, The Promise, Wrecking Ball, and High Hopes.
Springsteen and the E Street Band are currently on tour in Australia and New Zealand, and that trek wraps up with two shows (March 1 and 2) in Auckland, NZ. After that, the band begins an American tour on April 8 in Cincinnati that runs through May 18 in Connecticut. Springsteen is on the road in support of his latest album, High Hopes, and the upcoming U.S. tour focuses mainly on markets that Springsteen skipped on his 2012 road trip in support of Wrecking Ball.
