We are very saddened to report the passing of long-time music industry entrepreneur Jerry Brenner. FMQB sends our deepest and most sincere condolences to his family and friends. Jerry had many protégés, admirers and genuine friends in the business, and his charismatic and warm persona truly resonated in the industry for all of us who have known him for such a long period of time. He will be missed dearly. Brooke Maratos is promoted to National Sales Manager for Entercom-Greenville, LLC. Cumulus announces the implementation of a maternity leave policy providing new mothers with six weeks of fully-paid time off in addition to the paid time off and disability benefits currently provided to employees. The policy takes effect immediately and is available to all full-time, non-commission employees with at least one year of service.
Radio engineer Jeff Littlejohn of Clear Channel Media and television technology innovator Robert Seidel of CBS have been named the 2014 recipients of the NAB Engineering Achievement Awards. The recipients will be honored at the NAB Show Technology Luncheon on Wednesday, April 9 in Las Vegas. Littlejohn, as EVP, Engineering and Systems Integration, oversees all technical aspects of Clear Channel's Media & Entertainment division. Robert Seidel began his career with CBS in 1976 and is now VP, Engineering and Advanced Technology.
