While watching the Canadian hockey team win big at the Olympics over the weekend, Justin Bieber also took the time to unleash a new song. On Friday, Bieber tweeted: "Thanks to all those beliebers out there inspiring me everyday... Working on my guitar." Then later that night he wrote: "Checkout some new exclusive music on http://livemixtapes.com." Those who followed the link found that Bieber's new track, "Broken," kicks off DJ Tay James'We Know the DJ Radio 4 playlist. The song features L.A. rapper Blake Kelly, and the lyrics seem to lash out against haters who have been taking aim at the singer amidst all his legal troubles.
"I guess they want a reaction/but I ain't gonna give it to them," Bieber sings in the opening line. And in the track's refrain he sings, "I cannot be broken/like I know you were hopin'."
In other news, Bieber's video for "Baby" has delivered more than one billion views across Vevo, making it the most watched clip ever on the website. "Baby" is now 10x Certified, and Bieber is the youngest artist to reach that milestone, as his 20th birthday approaches on Macrh 1. The "Baby" video, along with six other Bieber clips ("Never Say Never," "One Time," "Somebody To Love," "Never Let You Go," "One Less Lonely Girl," "Love Me"), was among Vevo's inaugural Certified class when the 100 million views milestone program was unveiled in June 2012. His videos for "Mistletoe," "Boyfriend," "Beauty and a Beat" and "As Long As You Love Me" have since joined Vevo's 100 million views club, giving the singer 11 Certified music videos.
