Sean Penn, John Sykes
Congratulations to Clear Channel President of Entertainment Enterprises John Sykes who received the Media Social Visionary Award from Variety & unite4:good. Variety presented several unite4:humanity awards to entertainment industry icons. Sykes received the Media Social Visionary award from Sean PennAttendees and honorees also included Robert De Niro, Martin Scorcese, Alicia Keys, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., Demi Lovato and Selena Gomez. Andy Samberg hosted the event.

Royce International makes it official naming James "DJ Supa James" Palomares Program Director at Mainstream CHR KREV (92.7 Rev)/San Francisco, KFRH (104.3 Now)/Las Vegas and KRCK/Palm Springs. "Eric Sean" Casucci has also been named APD/MD for the stations.

Cumulus taps Lance Ballance as PD at Hot AC WXLO/Worcester as well as OM duties for the cluster.

Rob Stevens is named Producer of the long-running Hill-Man Morning Show on Rock WAAF/Boston. Stevens was most recently a morning co-host of The Show on Active Rock KIOZ/San Diego where he worked for over 10 years.

WCOA-FM/Pensacola switched from a News/Talk simulcast with sister WCOA-AM today and launched Classic Hits The Jet 100.7. Jerry King joins the Cumulus owned stations, from Cumulus Media Networks, as OM for the Pensacola cluster and as PD of Jet 100.7FM. The nationally syndicated Bob & Tom Show will anchor mornings.

Superadio's syndicated Saturday Night Online Live with Romeo welcomes the following new affiliates: CHR KSLZ/St. Louis, CHR KKRZ/Porland, CHR WNOH/Norfolk, CHR KJYO/Oklahoma City, CHR KWNW/Memphis, CHR WZJZ/Ft. Myers, CHR KTBT/Tulsa, CHR WSNX/Grand Rapids, CHR KKDM/Des Moines, CHR KISO/Omaha, CHR KPXR/SPokane, CHR WQNQ/Asheville and CHR KGOT/Anchorage.

Michele Grosenick is named GSM at AC KRWM/Seattle, effective March 10. Grosenick most recently worked at the Seattle Times as Director/Digital Sales.

New York Festivals World’s Best Radio Programs announces the appointment of Michael Freedman, SVP and Professor at University of Maryland University College (UMUC) to the New York Festivals International Radio Program Awards Advisory Board and GrandJury panel. New York Festivals will honor the 2014 award-winning entries on Monday, June 23rd at an awards ceremony at Manhattan Penthouse in New York City.
