Republic Records has officially announced Ron Cerrito as Sr. Vice President/Rock Formats. With over two decades of experience at the executive level, Cerrito will oversee promotions at the rock and alternative radio formats for a bevy of artists across the company's expansive roster. Working with acts ranging from Lorde, Phantogram, Of Monsters And Men, and St. Vicent to Pearl Jam, James Blake, Volbeat, and more, he'll construct and implement comprehensive campaigns for expanding profile of the company's icons and raising awareness of new talent on the airwaves.

"Ron's diverse major label and entrepreneurial experience brings us what I call the ultimate 'intrepreneurial' executive, which represents the spirit and tone of Republic today." commented Republic Records EVP Charlie Walk, "He strategic savvy makes him the perfect executive to work alongside our artist and partners."

Republic Records Founder, Chairman/CEO Monte Lipman adds, "From the moment I met Mr. Cerrito, we instantly clicked. He shares a similar mindset, and he's devout in ushering in the next wave of artists. It's incredible to have him join the family."

"I've always admired Republic Records." said Cerrito. "They instill an entrepreneurial spirit within the framework of a major label. Not only do they embody that independent mindset, but they possess a magic like talent for finding and breaking hit records. I have a long history with Mr. Walk, and I'm thrilled to be reunited with him.  Charlie lives in the future tense.  His swift, decisive style and knowledge of music has always driven me to be better. I'm also honored to have the privilege of working with Monte Lipman for the first time.  Monte's vision, Republic Records, is a modern, evolved music company. There is no better place to begin the next chapter of my career."

Most recently, Cerrito served as Head of Prospect Park Recordings from April 2012 until January 2014. Prior, he was Sr. Vice President, Promotion at Warner Bros Records [August 2006-August 2011] where he proved instrumental in highly successful radio initiatives for Madonna, Metallica, Muse, Jason Derulo, Linkin Park, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Avenged Sevenfold, The Black Keys, The White Stripes and more. He held the office of Sr. Vice President, Rock Promotion at Columbia Records [September 2003-August 2006] and Vice President, Rock Promotion at Interscope [2000-2003]. During a decade at Epic Records [1990-2000], he spent time as VP of Marketing and VP of Rock Promotion working with everyone from Pearl Jam, Rage Against the Machine, Ozzy, Oasis, Korn and Incubus.
