Lady Gaga Confirmed as Keynote Speaker for SXSW
March 10, 2014

Lady Gaga
After announcing last week that she would play an intimate show at Austin's SXSW conference, Lady Gaga has now revealed that she also will serve as the keynote speaker for the event. The keynote conversation, to be led by John Norris of Fuse, takes place on Friday, March 14 at 11 a.m. in the Grand Ballroom of the Hilton Austin – Downtown. Lady Gaga's keynote will be open to Music and Platinum registrants and Showcasing Artists with wristbands, and it follows her prior night's performance on the Doritos #BoldStage at Stubb's, a show benefitting the Born This Way Foundation.

As reported on Thursday last week, Gaga and Doritos are challenging fans to perform a series of "Bold Missions" in order to win tickets to the performance. The challenges are being revealed on Doritos.com in the days leading up to the March 13 show, which will be Gaga's first live gig at SXSW.

"The ARTPOP performance at SXSW will be a completely one-off set and experience," Gaga told Rolling Stone. "I've been dreaming of this moment. It's all about the music and the connection with the crowd, and I want the audience in Austin to see me live in a way I never have before. I love theatrics, but I started out singing at a piano with a Bud Light in a bikini. Performing at Stubb's is a real blast from my past, I can't wait to celebrate with the audience how far music can go when we believe and stick together. It's moments like these that I live for."
