Frozen Soundtrack Stays Strong at #1
March 26, 2014

The soundtrack to Disney's Frozen spends a seventh week at #1 on the sales chart, shifting another 202,000 copies, according to Nielsen SoundScan. This gives the soundtrack its best sales week yet, thanks to release of the movie on DVD and Blu-Ray. With the additional 202,000 copies sold, the total sales of Frozen now rise to 1.6 million. While the soundtrack continues to reign supreme, the chart also welcomes six new entries into the Top 10 this week.

Entering at #2 is rapper YG with his debut album, My Krazy Life, selling 61,000 units. Rock trio Foster The People bows at #3 with Supermodel, selling 54,000. EDM star Skrillex logs his best week ever as his first full-length album, Recess, starts at #4 with 47,000. This gives Skrillex his first Top 10 album. Rock band The Pretty Reckless also scores its biggest week yet, as its sophomore effort, Going to Hell, debuts at #5 with 35,000 sold.

Pharrell Williams' G I R L owns the #6 slot this week with 34,000, and Rick Ross' Mastermind is #7 with 27,000. Enrique Iglesias bows at #8 with Sex and Love, shifting 24,000 units. Lorde's Pure Heroine is #9 this week with just under 24,000, and Taking Back Sunday takes a bow at #10 with Happiness Is, opening with 22,000 copies sold. It's the fourth Top 10 album for the band.
